"Riiight, Mr Bridgejumper." Ruggie muttered just loud enough for him to hear, when Kalim opened his mouth to protest again, he continued, "When didja run off?"
"Sunday- well, I guess it was Monday morning."
They just stared at each other for a second.
"It's Monday afternoon!" Ruggie broke the silence again, reaching forward to grab at the lapels of Kalim's jacket, "Give that damn sandwich back and go home, ya dumbass!"
"No! I just said I can't!" Kalim yelled in return, not fighting back as the brunette shook him around like a ragdoll.
OR
Kalim realises he'd rather die than keep living his current life, so he runs away. With a combined 0 life experiences outside of his carefully monitored home and 0 clue where to go, it's sheer luck when he meets someone who can guide him (however unwilling they initially seem) in the ways of the world.

A hand covers their vision, and Yuu is careful not to jump.
“Am I still not allowed to see you?” They ask instead.
Tsunotatou hums. “It’s not that you aren’t allowed, it’s that I fear I may scare you. I scared you last time. Before we saw each other again in the library, at least.”
“Before the library?” Yuu asks. “I’m afraid I never met you in my entire life.”
“We met,” Tsunotatou begins to step in place, and Yuu carefully follows his lead as they dance across the floor once more. “Once.”
“In what?” Yuu scoffs playfully. “A dream?”
Tsunotatou laughs. “Yes, perhaps in a dream dreamt a long time ago.”
“...I hope I don’t offend you, my dear host, but you do say the strangest things.”

Yuu is a travelling peasant with no goal in life. They travel from village to village, working low-paying temp jobs and never staying more than a few days.
However, after escaping a snowstorm, Yuu finds themselves taking shelter in an abandoned castle.
Expect the castle is not quite as abandoned as it seems.
And why does its host insist they know each other?
(Or: the one where the author realizes she has weird dreams.)
