Noah expects this show to be like any other that he and Owen have competed on in the last year, complete with his steadily increasing competitive drive. What he doesn’t expect is to make fast friends with another team, or a reunion with a strangely sincere Alejandro. More perceptive than he’s given credit for, Owen just wants his little buddy to choose happiness, which is easier said than done on reality television.
Emma will do anything to win the million—except trust her opponents, or even her allies. Competing mostly for fun, Kitty wishes her sister would let her walls down, as she’s tired of how Emma’s been treating her since her bad breakup. There’s only so much bossy behavior she can take, and if Emma doesn’t start being honest with her, Kitty’s going to take charge.

Obi-Wan reached for his comm, dialing in the familiar code.
It took only a moment and then Hondo was answering, an exaggerated scowl on his face. “My betrayer!”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, not bothering to respond to the all too familiar accusation. “How do you feel about stealing something big?”
Hondo looked like he was debating with himself as to whether he wanted to continue being churlish and accusing or whether he wanted to steal things. Thankfully, in this, Hondo was very predictable. “You have drunken too much, my friend, if you have to ask.”

Finally, Sothis decides to recruit outside help. She goes to a surviving Nabatean, one of the Five Saints, and tells him everything about the upcoming war.
Ashe listens, and he's determined to do everything he can to stop the fighting. He infiltrates the Officers' Academy as a student, trying to avoid being detected by his fellow Nabateans while subtly changing things behind the scenes so the war never happens. Of course, not everything goes as planned, but Ashe is still dedicated to making sure that this future is a bright one.

"What's a Nonary Game?" Carlos asks blankly.
The other three look at him like he's just asked what color the sky is, and he feels the sudden need to justify himself. "I've been in a Decision Game," he says. "Just... not a Nonary Game."
This does not seem to clarify anything to anyone.
"Is a Decision Game a thing where you get kidnapped by someone calling themselves Zero?" Clover asks. "And then you have to escape from a lot of locked rooms and try not to get murdered while people start talking about other timelines?"
"Yes," Carlos says.
"Oh," Alice says. "So that's basically a Nonary Game, then."
In 2028, Carlos uses the alien transport pods to escape Dcom, and save Junpei and Akane.
In 2074, after the end of the last Nonary Games, Clover and Alice use the same pods to go back to their own time.
In 2027, Aoi is just trying to kidnap Junpei for the Nonary Game that will save his sister. It'd be nice if all these time travelers didn't keep wandering in and interrupting.

The prisoner’s dilemma was a flimsy one, depending too much on other people and what went on inside their heads, and Hazuki thought of herself as fairly and reasonably slow to trust. But people not sleeping and relating that state with a terminal illness called Sleeping Beauty Syndrome still took him by surprise.
Or: Magic and demi-humans are not the only things that separates Lugunica from Japan. In a world in which no one but Subaru sleeps, everyone is sure he has a terminal illness.
