Summary
After ramming the sub straight into the Light, Simon wakes up on a strange spaceship with no memory of how he got there. The state of the Hail Mary -spacious, clean, bright and comfortable- can only lead to one conclusion: Simon has somehow been picked up by one of the highest-ranking leaders of the C.O.I.
Luckily, Dr. Grace doesn't seem to recognize him, buying Simon enough time to hatch yet another desperate plan for survival before his identity is discovered. In the meantime, Simon tries his best to stay in the man's good graces (no pun intended), but he's hardly known for his charming personality.
Both of them are in for a bumpy ride.

Summary
Simon faced a God and survived. He's not sure if its either in spite of or because of. What he does know is that his universe cannot have produced a man as incredible as Ryland Grace, and Simon will do everything he can to protect him.
This fic is mostly to satisfy the part of my brain that likes nitty gritty world building details, and I want to watch Simon and Grace be gentle to eachother and feirce to the world.

“You live in an enclosure,” the man said. There was no venom in his voice. He was just stating a fact.
“Yeah, but… it’s nice. I have just about anything I could ever ask for. And back on Earth, well… there’s nothing for me there now.”
A new human, inexplicably, shows up on Erid, and Ryland Grace has to remember how to be a good host. Considering he hasn’t seen another human in about a decade, and this human is both distractingly handsome and incredibly traumatized, it’s safe to say that this might be a challenge… especially with Ryland still working through his own issues, even all these years later.
But he saved the entire world, so, how hard could it be to save one more man?
