Summary
Gabriel just wanted to spend a day out with his wife, running errands in the city of Austin, Texas. Instead, they got caught up in the outskirts of a crime scene. It wasn’t long before they latched onto their son as they waited out the stand-off, and they met his friends at fire station 126. Everything was going well.
Until they watched Carlos go down in the fray of a gun fight.
Everything begun to unravel, and they were all stuck in limbo as they waited for Carlos to wake up and answer the questions they so desperately needed to ask. Like why Carlos never told his parents he was in love.

The Mandalorian laughed, the sound wet. Din hoped that the fucker was bleeding somewhere.
"What," the Mandalorian rasped, hand curled tight around Din's jacket even as Din tried to tear away, "kind of Jedi are you, huh?"
Din bared his teeth and pressed the knife harder against the Mandalorian's side. "The still living kind," he said. "Now let us go." The kid – he had to get the kid out of here. Away from this. Din didn't even know where the Mandalorian would have found a baby Jedi, but –
"Or what?" said the Mandalorian. "You'll kill me? I thought you were a bunch of peaceful monks. You'd really dishonor your people by killing an unarmed man?"
"You killed off all the peaceful ones," Din said. "And what are you talking about, unarmed? You have a cannon," he said, narrowing his eyes, "strapped to your kneecap."
(Or, the man once known as Din Djarin was an Initiate, when the Jedi Order fell. He's not sure what he is now, or why it's his responsibility to help a bad-tempered Mandalorian reunite a Force-sensative baby with the New Jedi Order rumored to exist somewhere in the Outer Rim, but it doesn't look like anyone else is going to do it.)

It was nothing, really. Or at least, it didn't seem like anything. Erica and Christine were always a little more tactile with each other than anyone else. And their tendency to get lost in their own conversation was nothing new.
Christine knew it was rude. They were the alien visitors in a new planet, and supposed to be making a good name for the Federation at this dinner, but she couldn't stop herself from leaning over to whisper whatever thought had popped into her head to Erica, or leaning in to hear Erica's thoughts.
At least they were sat at the far end of the table, as far away from any Tronguin as possible. She and Erica had both rationalized that where they sat would be the most unobtrusive spot for them, and that they wouldn't cause too much of a disturbance from where they were.
They almost made it through dinner without incident.
But hey, how was Erica supposed to know that you only shared food and drinks if you were engaged or married on this planet? No one had mentioned that in the briefing.

AU. Christine Chapel's life has had a few setbacks lately. Her PhD studies have hit a snag, her bestie can't bail her out with housing, and with classes at Starfleet Academy starting soon, Christine faces that she may be trapped in a situation worse than death. She may have to move back into the upperclassman dorms.
Yet not everything is going badly. When her upstairs neighbors throw a rager the night before classes start, she storms up to destroy the party and meets Spock, a brilliant Vulcan PhD student who's equally miserable about the noise. What should be a simple one-night stand turns into more as Christine realizes she might have accidentally found the perfect arrangement: regular stress relief with someone who understands that relationships are just unnecessarily complicated. No emotions, no expectations, just really excellent sex with a Vulcan who takes direction very, very well.
Life is perfect. Until it's suddenly not.

I've been re-watching the Jeri Ryan Leverage episodes and this was just going to be a little short story about Seven in that outfit from 2x11. and then it got away from me. no idea how we got here, but now it's a fairly smutty not so short story about Seven in that outfit with a smitten Raffi at some party i didn't bother to make up.
i guess let's pretend they are in their honeymoon phase later in the relationship, because Raffi can Not keep her hands to herself and Seven is accidentally (on purpose) a horrible tease.
