Eventually the others catch on. He stops being allowed to be alone on his surface. Whenever he thinks he is, he feels their gravity. Where sunlight is, the sun can follow after all.
Earth works around this. He brings everyone down to his surface for a trip to go exploring in caves!
There’s an earthquake and it caves in, but only on the place Earth was exploring.
“I can’t control those types of things!” He says, shrugging when Mercury confronts him back in space, “it just happens.”
It ‘just happens’ a lot.
But Earth can’t—won’t—stop.

“You look rough.” Earth deadpanned, placing a hand on Mars’ shoulder. “Like, really rough.”
“Thanks.” The red planet drawled, biting down against his tongue before anything else would spill out. It was always great to hear your best friend say you look like hot garbage. Thankfully, Earth took the awkward silence as a sign to continue. Squeezing his shoulder before continuing.
“Lucky for you, I have just the solution.”

Summary
Titan’s discovery day was today.
There has always been a giant celebration in the past. Saturn had always liked to throw those types of parties, solar-system wide celebrations for the celestials he cherished, ever since the moment Earthlings had discovered him, that was Titan’s day.
(He was ignorant of the looks of envy on his siblings' faces as their own discovery dates were forgotten, up until recently).
March 25th had been Titan’s Day, until now.

Makemake’s hands quivered from the core deep chill felt across the belt. He tightened his hold on his stomach, resting his forehead against his chest.
There was nothing out there. The Kuiper Belt was silent, as silent as it had been the moment he first gained consciousness. He was alone…….abandoned by their star–
No, no. He wasn’t abandoned! He was..
Makemake bit his lip, chewing on the skin. His fingers tightened against his stomach, he giggled hysterically, entertained by the thought.
Sent on a mission-a mission only he was capable of… to defeat the rampaging giant that’s been destroying the Kuiper Belt, using his awesome and totally real mind superpowers! He gasped in excitement, nose wrinkling at the cough that followed it.

Before he met Pluto, Makemake had to deal with a lot of things by himself, sicknesses included.

“He was brainwashed,” Desdemona declared, tugging against Puck’s jacket with a white-knuckled grip. “Just like in that Earthling movie.”
Puck tilted his head up glancing up at their planet parent. His lips pressed into a thin line, eyebrow twitching before he patted the ground, making room for the moon. She slid off his back abruptly, feet kicking back and forth.
“That’s not a thing,” Puck finally mumbled, head tilting down and averting his gaze from the sleeping ice giant.
“It’s a thing-it’s called mind control; dad was brainwashed to be evil.” Her wings lowered sluggishly, yawning as she spoke. Her shoulder slumped against his side, voice muffled by Puck’s jacket.

“I could help.”
Mercury turned. It was still hard to see in the darkness but Venus just knew the smaller planet was wearing a skeptical expression. “Uh… really?”
“‘S just feathers, right? Can’t be that hard.”
That didn’t seem to imbue Mercury with confidence. Rude.
“Alright then. Go bald on your own.”
“I’m not—“ Mercury flapped irritably and slumped. “You’re… being serious?”

But…despite the annoyance ringing in his mind, Saturn couldn't find it in himself to be angry at the raspy breaths. In fact, a lopsided, sleepy smile broke across his face, a warm chuckle bubbling in his chest with the fondness growing stronger and stronger in his mind.
Saturn shifted under the covers, rolling over (and, in the process of doing so, realized that the heavy weight lying on top of him was an arm draped over his body, and not a strange, weighted blanket), and through the darkness, a face took shape beside him.
Jupiter.

It only brought Saturn's attention to how sunken and pale Jupiter's face looked, compared to before his banishment. How those eyebags had only darkened further, how his hair had started falling off in chunks.
So lost in Jupiter's gaze, Saturn hadn't even noticed that his eyes had grown glassy until his husband wiped a tear from his cheek. "Hey..." He murmured, smile dropping. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Yes, he thought, gaze painfully wandering down what was left of Jupiter's belly. Yes, yes, unfortunately yes.

After their return from... everything, one of the things not so easily fixed was Jupiter's weight. An insecurity Saturn hadn't even know his beloved had... and one he hopes kisses can fix.

Summary
Liquid water wet his arms again, burning against the angry scratches raked across his surface. That lonely ache panged in his core another time, mourning something–someone. Multiple someones–and grieving the loss. He misses them. He doesn't know who. He never knows who. It's always a mystery.
One that he was too miserable to solve.
That empty part of his core, sitting like the missing part to a big, unknown puzzle, stung like his arms, the pain worming itself deeper into his very being. It called out, desperate for the missing parts to return and make him whole again. Happy again. He didn't know why he was so convinced it could do that, but it felt true.
It felt so close. Like the last part to solving the mystery was right under his nose. He could feel it. He knew it was there. He knew if he just reached out and pushed a little harder, he could find his way back.
But he didn't know how.
OR
Neptune forgets...
But this time he doesn't have to deal with it alone.
