Summary
It takes a while for him to be pieced back together, and even longer for Avid to return to consciousness.
Opening his eyes feels odd, and sitting up feels like floating. The memories come slowly, like sticky syrup flowing in his mind. It's not all there, but Avid understands quickly what's happened, a tight feeling encompassing his body.
He's dead.
Or, Avid haunts Pyro.

Summary
Four years have passed, and Jasmine Nightingale is the perfect neighbor. Her pies are store-bought but no one asks. Her smile is warm but never lingers. Her three dark-haired children—Danny, Dan, and Dani—are quiet, brilliant, and just a little too intense for the other preschoolers.
They are also the reincarnated souls of her dead siblings, anchored to flesh by ectoplasm and a deal made in the dark.
Jazz has built a kingdom of lies to keep them safe. PTA meetings. Neighborhood watch. Casseroles accepted with gratitude and thrown away untouched. But across the street, Mrs. Davison is watching. She notices things—the way Jazz moves, the way the children never mention a father, the strange lights in the windows at night. She’s been compiling a list for three years.
And yesterday, she called Child Protective Services.
OR
Jazz Fenton sacrificed everything to bring her siblings back. Now she’ll sacrifice anyone to keep them.
