Tommy was such an important part of his life.
Or… well. He had been.
Up until the point where Techno had started taking on extra shifts to make ends meet. Up until the point where, despite living in the same small apartment, they only ever ran into each other once or twice a week. Up until the point where making time for his younger brother turned into a near impossible chore.
Or: Techno's trying to take care of Tommy, while also dealing with the stress of being an Adult and having to take care of himself. It's... not going so great

Summary
Tommy took a deep breath. Counted to ten. And opened the door, wincing at the long creak that echoed through the house. Techno was there, and he reached out a hand to take Tommy's suitcase. "You got everything?" He asked in a low whisper. Tommy nodded. "Alright, let's get out to the car. D'you have a key-?"
He broke off as a light flicked on somewhere down the hall. The glow reflected against the window, and Tommy's heart skipped a beat. He spun around in time to see his parents emerging from their room, both looking tired, confused, and vaguely annoyed. Not good.
Or: Tommy ran away from home with his brother's help. This fixes some problems, but causes more, and now no one's having a good time

Summary
Before the timeloop, Ranboo would have said being in a timeloop didn't sound that bad. Getting to prepare for the day? Making sure they knew everything that was going to happen, knew exactly what to do to make things perfect? That sounded fantastic. After all, Graduation Day wasn't just the official ceremony. It was also the morning patrol, and the reception afterwards, and each of those points was a time where something could go catastrophically wrong. So yeah, in theory, getting to practice over and over seemed cool.
But now they'd actually lived through it. And while they knew exactly what would happen during the day, could tell you a hundred small differences between the various loops, they were still stuck in the same day. Repeating it over. And over. And over again, and now it was less of a blessing and more of an insanity-inducing curse.
Or: Ranboo has been in a timeloop for about a year and is so tired of going through the motions that they decide to take a break, just for one day, and quit everything. Including being a hero apprentice. Which is fine, because it's a timeloop, so everything will go back to normal tomorrow!
... right?

Summary
Philza didn't really like multiplayer servers. They were just too… big, especially when he'd spent a lot of time working on his hardcore world. The shift from one to the other was jarring and, frankly, unnecessary. Whenever he got the idea to log on to a bigger server, his visit was usually very short-lived, and he'd end up wandering around for a few minutes before getting bored and going back to his own world.
However, Techno had decided that they were going to play Skywars together, and Techno was a very persuasive person. Which was how Philza found himself logging onto Hypixel on a random Tuesday.
Or: Philza and Techno play a game of Skywars, and Philza totally doesn't forget he's not playing hardcore anymore

Summary
Ranboo's hands started shaking when they went to open the dye container. They took a breath, letting it out slowly, then closed their eyes before dipping one gloved hand in the dye and running it through their hair. And that was that! They couldn't turn back now!
They opened their eyes so they could see better to get the dye done properly-
And froze. Because there was now a pink streak running through their hair.
Or: when Ranboo went off to college, they took what they thought was their black hair dye with them. However, their foster brother, Techno (who happens to be more than a little terrifying, and also seems to make a point of ignoring them at all costs) dyes his hair pink, and the dyes got switched. Clearly, this can only end well

Communication is key.
That was the one rule Phil had for his little team of thieves. Communicate. They were a team, and they had to act like it, which meant petty squabbles and annoyances were resolved before they started a heist. That was the best way to stay safe, and to be sure everyone was on the same page.
Or: an ordinary heist goes wrong because some people (*cough* Techno *cough*) don't communicate. A simple injury can turn into a big thing if no one knows it's there :)

Techno was holding the door to the outside open, giving him a look, as though to emphasize that Tommy could leave any time he wanted. Tommy, of course, elected to ignore this, and simply turned to dart further into the room. He'd heard the warm crackle of a fireplace over in the corner. And honestly, he deserved a nap after all the stress he'd just gone through.
Behind him, the door closed gently, cutting off the rush of the gathering storm outside. "Alright then," Techno said, almost to himself. "Guess I have a cat now."

It's popular in general, but especially as a tourist destination, and they've pulled off a few little cons there before.
Techno looks where Tommy's focusing on, and oh, there's a perfect target.

Without really expecting anything to come of it, Techno raised his gun again and fired. The Angel didn't seem to move - didn't even flinch - as the bullet passed harmlessly just inches away. Which- okay, maybe he wasn't that good an aim, but he didn't normally have to be.

Summary
Techno had made the decision to go to the next city over, in case the town guard was still on the lookout for adventurers. Halfway Hollow seemed like exactly the sort of forgettable place to hole up for a while and pretend there weren't any warrants out for the arrest of one Techno Blade.
The other good news about this place was the tavern. With any luck, he'd be able to find a new adventuring party there.
Or: D&D-inspired AU in which a party forms in a tavern. Techno's somehow the leader, through no choice of his own, and is honestly confused as to how all this happened so fast
