Summary
In a world not quite so magic as the one we know best, Tokyo’s Nerima Ward is a decidedly normal place, distinctly lacking in out-of-control jilted fiancées, no-holds-barred martial arts combat, and suicide pacts. Even the introduction of the Jusenkyo curse into the life of Ranma Saotome somehow seems to fade into the background of his life; instead it’s his parents’ wild machinations that threaten to turn his life into a three-ring circus, as he tries to chart out a way forward in a mundane world unprepared to deal the unpredictability of curses and magic.

Link hadn’t meant to pull the sword. He planned to watch as his comrades pulled with all their might, perhaps even tease a few about how it was all for the better that the sword didn’t budge, because surely no Princess could ever love their ugly mugs, and then get into a good old-fashioned wrestling match with their bruised egos after one too many jokes. But it hadn’t mattered what he had in mind; Link’s plans be damned. The Goddess had already plucked him out of obscurity and set him along Her own path.

Predictably, Gideon ignored her. Instead, she slouched even harder and more bonelessly against the doorframe and held her hand to her face in an upsettingly decent imitation of the thinking emoji. “Ortus again?” she asked eventually, her tone carefully pruned of all discernible emotion.
“I take my role as senior resident of these halls of accommodation very seriously, as you well know, and it is my duty to investigate all complaints promptly and vigorously while protecting the anonymity of the complainant,” said Harrow officiously. “But yes, it was Ortus, because he is a big girl’s blouse.”
