Summary
During their travels as hedge knight and squire, Dunk and Egg go to Lys, expecting they might run into a certain temperamental Targaryen Prince sent there five years ago, (following the trial of seven that nearly killed Prince Baelor, the only other living Targaryen omega—as far as Aerion knows, at least).
What Dunk does not expect, is to find Aerion in heat and being taken advantage of in a dark alley by the very guards sworn to protect him.
Afterwards, Aerion is suffering through a suppressant overdose, not having been off them in five years in the effort to hide his omega status, and the aftermath of being raped. He must return home to his pack in Dragonstone lest he die from the sickness, (though he doesn't feel he'll be welcomed back).
Come hell or high water, Dunk vows to be there every step of the way through Aerion's recovery, no matter how much the prince tries to push him away.
(Bonus: Dunk and Aerion are scent mates—a rare bond indicating high biological compatibility.)

Summary
Prince Aerion Targaryen is supposed to be past his worst habits - but instead he maims a horse, attacks puppeteers, and starts a scandal. When Ser Duncan the Tall yeilds the Trial to save the life of Prince Baelor Breakspear, he gets pulled into the monstrous princes orbit. Becuase for reasons no one understands, least of all the man himself, Aerion decides he wants Dunk.
What starts as a skirmish turns into rumors, a trial, and far too much attention on one very inconvenient knight. Something is broken in the House of the Dragon, and the cracks lead back to the Bright Prince.

Summary
Baelor lived through the Trial, escaping his own destiny. Duncan the Tall was taken into the Prince's service, a life far greater than a hedge knight could have ever wanted. A decision was settled upon Aerion: he was to be sent to Braavos for his own discipline, hoping this would change him. It was a sentence that left Maekar in a state of terror for his only Omega son.
But the gods are rarely kind to those who are cruel. A news soon struck the Red Keep; a nightmare known only to them.Taken by Pirates.
Dangerous words for a fate no one expected. Baelor, driven to get his nephew back to safety, formed a crew of men to bring him home. The duty settled on Dunk. He hadn’t cared for the boy at first, but when Baelor asked, he did not hesitate, knowing this might be the only chance to challenge his own worth.
But nothing could have prepared him for what they found. Through cruelty upon cruelty, he found a Prince he no longer recognized—someone empty, and fragile.
