Viktor puts two hands through his messy hair, grimaces. Jayce opens his mouth, but Viktor just extends a hand, shushing him. “Shut.” He says, the loudest he is able to be at the moment. “Just shut up. Just--...”
Or, the Hexcore shrink Viktor to 2 inches tall.

“Out with it.” Viktor said harsher than intended.
“Can I kiss you?” Jayce asked. It came out so quickly that Viktor paused, his index finger still against his lips. Jayce grimaced, “Sorry-”
“No- it’s okay. Of course.” Coughing once, Viktor nodded. Starting over, this is what I am supposed to say, “Kiss me, Jayce.”

Geralt decided this was a good time to intervene and he rose, stepping in Jaskier’s line of sight.
“You.” The white-haired man stated.
Jaskier yelped, dropping the coins and instinctively falling in the water. His eyes were still above water, and then recognition was displayed on his features. “Geralt?” He breathed out in disbelief.
“Jaskier? Why aren’t you in the ocean?”

The siren looked over his shoulder at the witcher, his face already covered in dirt. “You are serious?” He asked.

“One more word and you are out on the street, Talis,” Viktor issues his empty threat in his coldest of voices, paired with his fiercest frown. Jayce only beams at him.
“The battle’s already lost,” he announces. “Mel’s approved my time-off ages ago. I got all the goodies,” he rattles the brown bag invitingly, “and Sky’s manning the lab. You’re not getting out of it, V.”
“Out of what?” Viktor demands, in increasing malaise, clutching at his crutch like a lifeline.
“Of fun,” Jayce says, threateningly.

Jayce finishes his drink, flopping against the back of the couch with a huff. "I just want to get it over with, I feel like once that happens, I'll be in the clear."
Viktor isn't even sure if he can blame it on the alcohol when such a sobering sentence tumbles from his lips. "We could kiss."
Jayce whips his head towards him. "What?"
"We could kiss." He shrugs. "We both want to get it out of the way, and we trust each other. Saves us the trouble of finding out that we are bad kissers from a complete stranger—no harm done."
"No harm—" Jayce sighs. "Are you serious?"
"Yes."
Jayce and Viktor start college but are too afraid to hook up with anyone because they're virgins who haven't even had their first kiss.

Summary
Jayce doesn’t remember the last time he saw the sky.
Okay. Maybe that’s an exaggeration. It feels, in the moment, like it’s been years—centuries; even—since he stepped foot outside of Viktor’s apartment. But he knows in reality he’s only been occupying his couch for maybe a couple of hours.
And still, Jayce wonders if this is where he’s going to die: on his best friend, his boyfriend, and his partner’s couch.
