“Very well, then. Whatever is in your means to give, hm? In exchange…” Yinyue-jun lifted his hand, graceful and precise, to gesture right at Jing Yuan. “I want him.”
Unable to restrain the spread of the mara, the Xianzhou send their best to seek help from the scions of the Permanence, Jing Yuan amongst them. Dan Feng agrees, but only for a price.

Summary
700 years ago on Luofu, the maple leaves rustled in the light breeze, sunlight dappling the splashes of red. They embraced under the maples and gingkos, confident that even despite their differences, they would have a much longer time than the outworlders and Foxians. Despite the good times, it ended abruptly, and scattered like the maple leaves when the winter wind blew through.
Dan Feng was Jing Yuan's Feng-ge; Jing Yuan is Dan Feng's little Lieutenant.
Dan Feng is dead and gone, replaced by a ghostly splitting image, Dan Heng. Jing Yuan is the Luofu General, responsibility overweighing all else.
Alas, that is how these mortal affairs go.

The entire crew is present: Dan Heng all the way in the back, March 7th, springing up from her seat beside Stelle, Mr. Welt, serving as a barrier between him and the younger members, and Ms. Himeko, taking a step forward to capture his attention.
“Mr. Sunday,” she says, diplomacy wrapped tightly around her voice. “Welcome aboard the Astral Express.”
“A pleasure,” he responds, fully intending to match her honeyed word for honeyed word. “I suppose this arrangement is your doing?”
“A joint effort,” she smiles. “As partial shareholders in Penacony, we've been working with both the Family and the IPC to ensure its smooth management. We've agreed to take you on.”Sunday is transferred into the Astral Express' custody. He assumes he's changing wardens. The crew is determined to be much more than just that.
