    Summary

Max stopped speaking halfway through an answer to Lewis because he realised he had clenched his jaw so hard it hurt. He knew exactly what that helplessness felt like. A mechanical failure robbed a driver differently than a crash or a mistake. There was nowhere to put the anger, no correction to make, no braking point to revisit. George, like all the rest of them, would only be left with the knowledge that his hands had done everything right and it still hadn’t mattered.

Max fixed a smile on his face anyway before he climbed up the third step. Champagne sprayed across his race suit while the hollow in his chest burned like a fireplace sucking all the oxygen out of a room.

George should’ve won today. Max knew it. The entire paddock knew it. And Max knew the twisting in his gut was nothing compared to the void George must have felt in his. He hadn’t seen George once since the chequered flag.

    Summary

Obscene levels of pining from everyone's favourite British driver.

Okay, so George knows he loves Max Verstappen. Anyone who knows him knows he loves Max Verstappen, except Max himself. He’s always been like this with people he likes, he shouts and makes a scene of hating them, it’s the only way no one suspects him. If he makes a big deal of hating them, makes it obvious, people pick that narrative. It’s easier than admitting his feelings. It’s easier than telling people he’s gay.

    Summary

No. Hans sucked in a hiss, his mind recoiling from the notion in his horror, his need to disbelieve. His body, wretched cursed disobedient thing it was, trembling with feverish excitement, a sickening need to—Heaven save him—to witness.

Henry, meanwhile, let out a strangled gasp as Bartosch’s boots scraped on the slats of wood, followed by the sound of him tugging on his belt. “We-we shouldn’t.”

    Shouldn’t. Not couldn’t, not even a mustn’t. No hint of don’t.

    ***

Hans and Henry are stuck in the pillory again, but this time Black Bartosch stops by for a visit.

    Summary

"What are you waiting for?" Hans' voice was as light as a feather.

Usually, he would have been asleep by this hour, but tonight, Hans had decided he wouldn't let his page set out on the road alone.

    "Getting nervous?"

"A little..." Henry admitted, a hint of shame in his voice.

"Don't worry. Didn't we agree? I'll still be with you once we get there."

Henry is about to go on this adventure called hardcore mode. This time, he decided to do things a little differently.

Both Henry and Hans retain the memories of the previous cycle. (not just the two of them)
