Summary
Astarion stands at his tent, pretending to pick at his nails, the edge of his dagger gliding harmlessly under the hard nailbed to collect debris though he’s already cleaned them twice now. Any lingering dirt still remaining won’t come out no matter how hard he digs.
Filthy fingertips aside, he glances up quick and catches it again.
That wizard, Gale, staring at him from his own tent across the camp.
At being caught, the wizard startles slightly, eyes going wider as he turns in place and fumbles for something to grab. His clumsy hands land on one of the pointless metal contraptions he has gathered up outside his tent and Astarion watches as he picks it up and examines it a little too closely to be believable.

Summary
The vampire's eyes are wide and round, full of amazement. They dart wildly around the sights below, as if trying to see everything at once. The lights of the city reflect upon his face, soft shadows dancing across his elegant features. The very tips of his fangs are visible from his parted lips.
The radiance of the city pales in comparison.

Two months after the brain falls, Baldur's Gate has picked up most of the pieces. The heroes that saved Faerûn have been there through most of it, helping the city get back on its feet. But now it's time to move on. Old lives and families to return to. Gale is going back to his tower in Waterdeep, back to the quiet, back to being alone; or at least, that was the plan. But plans change.
This is a story about falling in love.

Summary
The feeding felt more fulfilling than it ever had before, possessing a depth and richness like fruit plucked at the perfect moment of ripeness.
It was then, with his face buried in the intoxicating scent of her neck, his hands on her swollen breasts, the taste of her on his tongue, that the final piece of the puzzle clicked into place with the force of a lightning bolt.
She was fertile.
Or
Astarion gets high on pheromones and discovers he might have a slight breeding kink. And then promptly freaks out about it.

Summary
“Our devotion,” Gale says, voice upturned with a playful smile. “You seem reluctant to believe that Halsin and I will stay with you and help you, so let us prove it.”
Something wicked sparks in Halsin’s eye from his spot atop a couch, lounging wide. “What do you have in mind?”
“A game, of sorts.”
Astarion rolls his eyes, though their tone makes his blood run hot. “You’re waiting for me to ask.”
“Yes, well, I suppose I should know better at this point.” Gale pivots to look at him, eyes alive in a way that tells Astarion that whatever leaves his mouth will be overly earnest and embarrassing. “The game is this: we won’t do anything unless you tell us to.”
“What do you even—“
“But, we will do anything you tell us to.”
Halsin is smiling his feral little smile that makes you wonder why you ever thought he was innocent. “I think we understand your wants and needs fairly well, my heart, but I’d love to know what sort of depraved fantasies are deep in your head.”

Summary
Halsin's quiet contemplation is interrupted by the priest Abdirak, once his captor and now his companion. While Halsin trusts Tav's faith in the Loviatan, Abdirak himself seems to think there is some remaining animosity between the two which needs to be worked out. If it makes for a more harmonious camp, Halsin is happy to oblige.
