Summary
Batman can’t kill to avenge Robin. But Bruce Wayne isn’t Batman. Jason Todd isn’t Robin. And protection is another cup of tea entirely.
The idea for this came from a Tumblr post, but I changed it to make it my own – added some more conflict to make it more dramatic because you should never write at two am while jetlagged. It escalated. I know the internet likes that, so here you go. Knock yourselves out on the angst sauce. Don’t do actual drugs, kids.

So. What I WANTED to do was write a two-chapter fix-it about Dick saving Jason from his coffin, but that… got a little out of hand.
So now I’m throwing children with Adopt Me! written on their foreheads at Bruce and solving everyone’s problems because I feel bad for them.
Almost everyone’s. Tim is not having a fun time, and Jason isn’t exactly enjoying himself either. Duke and Steph are watching their nightmares come to life.

Jason - the brutal and newly established crime lord Red Hood - might have made up with his brother, but Bruce knows he is not welcome in his son's life. And who could blame Jason?
It's Bruce's turn to mend relationships. And because he needs an extra push for these things, I turned around the sick fic trope and gave the fever and the nightmares to Batman.

Summary
Jason gets stabbed and needs to find somewhere quick where he can catch his breath and get patched up. Conveniently, he happens to be near an old friend's place.
“Oh, ya picked the wrong apartment, buddy,” Harvey told the Red Hood, pointing his gun.
Red Hood was sitting underneath the window, a streak of blood marking his descent from it. Funny, Harvey’d thought that window didn’t open. There was a knife sticking out of Hood’s stomach, a hand pressed next to it with blood spilling out between the fingers.
“Yeah?” Red Hood looked up, but if he had an expression, Harvey couldn’t tell. The voice was modulated. “You mean this isn’t Batburger? I just get so turned around.”
