“Steve hears that all the time and he goes in anyway, dontcha Steve,” The joke flies out of Robin’s mouth and it takes Nancy a second to catch up to it. When she realizes what Robin meant, her whole body flushes with heat and she prays that her face isn’t turning bright red. Nancy’s lucky her jaw isn’t on the ground at the crass of it.

Ethan Winters has, for the most part, mastered this whole "dad thing". Raising Rose and somehow Eveline, after everything he and Mia went through in the Village, made him get good, and fast. So when Chris mentions that he has a buddy who's also (kinda), a dad, Ethan can't help but be intruged. Rose had been pestering him to get more friends than just the Boulder Puncher™ anyway, so what better than to befriend a fellow dad?
Alternative Summary: Ethan has no idea that Leon isn't actually a dad, and he just collects traumatized grown(ish) women like Pokémon and mothers them.

Summary
Ken Kaneki was not some complex character from a professionally written and edited novel or manga. He was just some loser who got killed by a monster.
But, he’d like to think that if he wrote a story about himself-
It would be a tragedy.
He was content that this would be his ending as he craned his head up to the night sky.
Instead of some symbolic moon or stars to represent a return to nature or childhood, his vision swam, and all he could see was a line of stitches.
