Xiaoshi's face lit up with a grin as he pulled the two most important people in his life closer to him, in an awkward side-by-side group hug. "I love you guys so much."
Oh any other day, Lu Guang would've flushed red and squirmed out of his grasp. But today, and this instance, were his exceptions. He reciprocated the hug as best he could at the odd angle, arms reaching to hold him and Qiao Ling, and mumbled a quiet response, "Me too."
"Heh, softie." Cheng Xiaoshi ruffled his hair before letting go.

Everyone has a story, some more familiar than others. Dokja hasn’t had an easy life but he’s happy, he has friends who care about him (even if he has a hard time realizing it), a daughter he adores, and even a job he likes (most of the time). Yoo Joonghyuk also hasn’t had the easiest life and he knows that he’ll have a lot more to face in the future. Another thing Yoo Joonghyuk knows is that he wants to face that future with the adorably charming, music-loving, novel enthusiast that works at the bookstore near his apartment. It might be an easier task if they talked a bit more and weren’t both super socially awkward, but hey nobody’s perfect!
OR
Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t make a very good first impression on Kim Dokja when they first met at the bookstore, but with enough time, care, shared music interest, and a little chaos that can be fixed!

Lu Guang’s eyes track the rise and fall of his chest. Up, down. Up, down.
