He felt like he had no one to turn to; Wille was still dealing with being crown prince and his mama’s mental health, he and Sara weren’t speaking, Ayub and Rosh didn’t understand, and his mama was already so busy and dealing with so much that he didn’t want to put more on her shoulders."
Simon's depression was never really addressed in S3, so I wrote a little something to explore some of it.

“So fun!” Harris yelled back. And he meant it. He was having a blast whipping across the lake, the blur of dark blue water and green trees streaking through his teary vision. He hadn’t smiled this hard in a long time.
He wondered if Troy was feeling free like this, too, if he was having just as much fun riding along with Shane as he was with Ilya. He turned his head to the side, pulling away for a better view, hoping he would see their jet ski beside them.

It was a middle-aged man on the other side of the doors. His back was mostly turned to Fabian. He had his phone pressed up against his ear.
"What? No. He probably got traded again." The man laughed, listening for a moment. "Maybe he had another breakdown. Freak."
There was... a moment that Fabian was missing. A stretch of several seconds that was just gone. First he was rinsing out brushes, then he was over there, his hands still damp, heartbeat loud in his ears.
"Hey," Fabian said. "Shut the fuck up."Or: Who said only hockey players can throw hands? And no, in retrospect, Fabian isn't proud of it.
