Pre-Phase 6, after Murdoc returned from prison and promised to change. But he’s facing a problem.
2D has been irritable lately, probably due to the lack of painkillers, as he was trying to go light on them. Nothing beats a clearer, unclouded head, right?
As Murdoc slowly but surely lost control of his deteriorating relationship with 2D, leading to one argument after another, everything seemed to slip away. Since then, a strange recurring nightmare kept eating away at him. Every time, just one scene, it was 2D, and... He was choking Murdoc until the bassist stopped breathing.

.I'm in love with The Now Now 2D (iykyk) and the idea that he is more tired and rational when he's off-meds, as shown in Plastic Beach interviews.
