Summary
If there is one thing that he has learned, it is that surviving is hard. By itself, choosing to survive and continuing to exist will be one of the hardest things to accomplish. By the next day he’s surprised he didn't die the day before.
He should be dead by now, right?
Didn’t his story essentially end the moment he was handed his death sentence in a diagnosis? Or was that where it began?
He’s not sure if he believes in beginnings and endings.
Does it matter how an ending starts when the end is near? Does it matter who is there and who isn’t, what he endures or overcomes? Does it matter how hard he tries, or how much he cares?
People like Izuku survive until they don’t.
Is that Living? Is it Surviving? Is it Death?
...What's the fucking difference?

Mike freezes in the doorway and feels the air catch in his lungs. Whether that’s on purpose or not, he’s unaware. Maybe blocking his airway is his body's way of doing him a favor, making him invisible to this conversation that he was very much not invited to. He takes a stumbling step back as quietly as he possibly can, which is difficult in his growing state of panic. He needs to make his escape immediately before being spotted, but all too soon, it’s too late. Joyce redirects her gaze to the doorway at the sound of his shuffling footsteps, and the shock in her expression inevitably prompts his best friend to turn around.

"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.
Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan are soulbound.

Izuku was stuck repeating his death again and again, no matter what he changed he seemed doomed to repeat it. It was like deja vu each time All Might told him to give up. Each time he felt the wind blowing against his face as he fell. Fell. Fell.
OR:
Every time Izuku dies he gets sent back in time a little bit with some memory of what occurred. Angst ensues.

He used to have someone though, with blond hair, and a flowy blue dress, the same one she was buried in. Or is that the reason he hates him? He reminds him of Maria, his only friend. She was taken away by the same organization that Sonic was working with. But he changed, didn’t he? Shadow changed because of Sonic.

"You know," Iruka started as he came close enough for his partner to hear him. "This might give people the wrong idea."
Kakashi had scratched the back of his head. "What idea? That I'm so smitten with my boyfriend that I can't even stay away for a day? 'Cus that's not wrong."
Oh, there he was, the charmer.
"No," Iruka had grinned, not willing to let Kakashi off the hook so easily. "I was thinking about the type of ideas people get when grown men stare at playing children, without any of them being his own."
Kakashi's face fell for a moment, then he glanced around them, as if to make sure no one had called the cops on him, and cleared his throat. "Well, I guess there's only one way to avoid that type of misunderstanding in the future."
When Iruka didn't catch on, Kakashi had inhaled deeply, straightened up, and apparently gathered enough courage to speak more clearly. "I just… might have been inconsiderate when you talked about having children."
(Or in which Iruka thinks back to his life with Kakashi before they became parents.)
