Summary
Instead of Sokka leaving with Katara and Aang at Kyoshi island, Suki goes with them while Sokka gets captured by Zuko. Zuko wants to use Sokka to find the Avatar while Sokka is trying to plan his escape. What neither expect is for the news of Sokka’s capture to quickly become news of the Fire Nation’s prince’s betrothal to the Southern Water Tribe’s princess. After an encounter with Zhao, the two decide its much more beneficial for both of them to pretend it's true.

Summary
While Zuko and Sokka aren't as close as they used to be when they were young teenagers, they still kept in touch .. at least over text and over the phone.
Sokka hadn't seen Zuko with his own eyes in a bit, and the day his sister asked him to accompany her while she went for errands– everything changed.
Or: A part of Sokka's mind opens seeing the fact Zuko changed by a lot.
