Now that Dean’s moved away, a shaft of light falls right onto the table, reflecting light directly into Sam’s vision. He blinks away the bright spots, and there they are. Sitting innocuously on the edge of the table closest to him.
Later, it will feel like fate. Right now, the feeling is inexplicable, as Sam’s burgeoning sentence dies on his tongue.
Or: After Chuck has been defeated and life is as good as it's ever been, Sam impulsively buys a pair of rings at an estate sale. Dean starts acting strangely.
