Summary
"Buck, keep still," Eddie ordered, his tone strained as his grip on his pen tightened to the point where a small crack appeared alongside the plastic. Buck just gave him an innocent look before he nuzzled the side of his neck, placing a kiss against the tanned skin.
"But I am sitting still," he replied back, batting his eyelashes as he gave Eddie a sunny smile. Eddie wasn't fooled one bit. Not when he could see the mischievous look behind the innocent facade, followed by Buck's walls pressing against his knot.
"Mierda," Eddie muttered as Buck just kissed against his ear. "Language, Captain Diaz."

Summary
It started as a joke. Buck saw a meme reel on Instagram, and thought it would be funny to send Eddie embarrassing texts when he was with other members of the 118. It’s a Q-Word shift, after all, and everyone’s bored out of their minds. Why not have a little fun with it?

Summary
“She said she wasn’t worried about us breaking up.”
Oh. Well. That was pretty definitively a thing that people said about partners who were together romantically.
“Say something,” Buck instructed.
“What?”
“Anything,” Buck said, his voice wavering on the word. Which was—it was weird, right? Why was Buck so shaken by a throwaway comment?
Or maybe the better question was why wasn’t Eddie? If either of them was going to get freaked out by the assumption that he was dating a man, it would make more sense for it to be Eddie, who was straight, and not Buck, who had, in fact, already dated men.
“Aren’t you going to be late for your shift?”

Buck and Eddie get shaken up by a comment from Theo’s social worker, and then by a magnitude 7 earthquake; it turns out, some disasters are better than others.

Summary
The last thing Buck remembered was the zipper.
He remembered the heavy, black plastic sliding shut, sealing away the pale, mud-streaked face that had been looking at him with such cold anger just hours ago. He saw the blue tinge of Eddie’s lips, the absolute stillness of his chest. He heard the sound—that sharp, final zzzzzt—cutting through the rain, erasing the last piece of Eddie Diaz from the world.
Then, the silence hit him. Not the quiet of the storm, but the suffocating, heavy silence of a world that was suddenly empty.
Or:
Buck gets stuck in his personal Hell - watching Eddie die over and over again in that well.
