When Charles is taken by a powerful and mysterious entity, already hurt from protecting Edwin; Edwin loses his mind. He will stop at nothing to get his partner, the love of his life, back.
It's not like it's the first time he's had to do it. (He honestly thought that at least the European supernatural community had learnt their lesson about taking Charles away from him. It seems like a reminder is due.)

It's the 14 of July of 2024, and both the EURO Championship and the Copa América are about to determine their winner.
Amongst teasing and some shit talk about their chosen teams, Charles discovers the reason Edwin got into football in the first place. He's not pleased. He's also not pleased about Edwin and Crystal's discussion about which current player is the most handsome.
(When he mentioned them being similar, he did not expect their tastes being this similar.)
That may just be the reason he accepts that bet.

“Sorry,” Light at least had the decency to say that. He thought it might've been the first time he actually said sorry to L and meant it. Of course, Light had apologized before, for mundane things— but it never felt real.
The ashamed feeling in his chest was almost too much. “Sorry,” he repeated. “I… sorry. I'm gross.”
“Hm. I don't think you're gross.” L simply replied, as though he wasn't bothered by Light's whining in the slightest. Why wouldn't he be? Light was revolting, and he was already tainting him. “I like when Light-kun is honest.”

Megumi blinks up at him, his eyes are little crescents, and the kitchen light works just enough to show how glassy they are. He shakes his head with a pout.
“Give me a good night kiss.”
In which, Megumi gets really drunk and Yuuta has to face the other side of him.

But some older jujutsu traditions favor lineage and inheritance, where prized techniques are manufactured and manipulated through arranged marriage. This hidden power contest thus became known as the 'second arena'.
