Summary
Damian Wayne should have cried when he was born.
Instead, he opened impossibly bright green eyes, bared tiny fangs, and stared at his father's pulse.
Bruce has faced gods, monsters, and everything Gotham could throw at him, but nothing prepares him for raising an infant vampire. Damian can't digest donated blood, can't survive on animal blood, and every failed feeding leaves him weaker than before. The only thing his body accepts is fresh blood from the people who love him.
Every successful feeding comes with a terrifying price.
As Damian grows, so does the hunger. Instinct overwhelms reason, and every meal ends with Bruce and the family fighting to pull him away before he drains someone dry. Watching Damian starve is unbearable.
Watching him lose himself is worse.

Damian hoisted himself onto the horse, ignoring how horribly good Jon looked leaning against his rusted farm motorcycle.
