"The sound echoed in the otherwise quiet room, causing the immortal to open his starry eyes in recognition - he knew those footsteps, he knew them very well.
Expensive shoes - leather ones with a heel - appeared in his line of vision and his head tilted up, meeting the familiar smug expression on the Corinthian's face.
All of his creation was blinding white in the dim lighting; all except the dark sunglasses that obscured two rows of sharp hungry teeth.
There was a long moment of silence in which they simply assessed one another, a strange emotion passing between them.
Contentment.
The Corinthian looked, he dared say, pleased to see him.
"We meet again, Dream," he greeted in his silken tones, voice full of promises.”

Summary
The air was damp, a chilling breeze nipping at his skin, exciting the light hairs on the nape of his neck.
And then the Corinthian finally saw him.
He felt his various mouths water, gaze instantly drawn to the lean figure curled up in the middle of an intricate glass cage.
The King of Dreams was holy in his paleness. He was like a beacon of light in the surrounding darkness, his alabaster complexion starkly contrasting against jet-black hair.
Entranced by the view, the Corinthian took a step closer like a moth to a flame.
Seemingly asleep, Dream's head rested on his arms, long limbs tangled like winter wisteria around his body to hide his shame as best as he could, unwilling to bend to mortals even at his lowest.
The sight was utterly pathetic, and send a thrill of delight down his spine.

Judging by the two stoneware handless mugs and the fuming cast iron teapot, it was clear the dark haired man had been expecting the newcomer sudden arrival.
“Good evening to you too, Zhongli xiansheng,” returned the Harbinger with a familiar cheeky grin plastered on his features.
