"Would you like to tell me what brought you here, today?"
The alpha - Remus - looked down at his tightly clasped hands around the pillow he was holding and Sirius frowned. There was something different about this alpha, he decided. A sort of fragility that Sirius usually only ever associated with legitimate victims. Still, he knew it could be an act. He let the silence hang deliberately, patiently letting the man sort through his thoughts and did his best to relax into something he'd done a thousand times before.
"I…" the deep voice came out shaky, not raising his eyes to Sirius at all. Sirius found himself holding his breath as the man stuttered.
"I-I need help."

Remus looks around, knowing they’re perfectly alone. He doesn’t quite smirk as he says, “I didn’t ask whether you were allowed.”
Of all the ways Black has surprised him, it’s the smile that takes the gold. Eyes crinkling and alight, lopsided at the mouth. Handsome beyond words, but there’s more.
When Sirius Black smiles, it’s enough to rewrite history. Remus can see another life, a road not taken. With a smile like that, he was meant to be something far different than this cold, formal man adhering to most rules without thought.
Someone broke him. Privately, Remus hopes they get what they deserve.

“That’s my future husband you’re talking shit about.”
That got him to smile. Something stupid and dopey that coincided with an immediate eye roll and that was the photo Sirius got, finally, snapped before he could hide it.
“Baby…” Remus complained, but it was too late. He was already setting it as his background and his contact photo, pleased with himself.
