He should hate Aang fiercely and openly, and he should have set that entire clearing on fire to get to him and capture him once and for all.
"No,” he said, and was surprised to find it was the truth.
OR What if Zuko and Aang talked at the end of "The Blue Spirit"?
Aang is not twelve. This IS a rewrite of the show, but it diverges more in the Book 3 chapters. Please read the notes before the prologue!

Just a kiss. Clark can still envision the photograph clearly: one of his arms wrapped around Lex’s shoulder, the other around his waist, pulling him close. Lex’s hand pressed against his cheek, fingers splayed, obscuring his face just enough that he might have been anonymous if only he hadn’t been wearing the most recognizable costume on earth.

“Alcohol?” asks Lex hopefully.
“What? No!” Clark laughs. “Letters!” He reaches into the bag and withdraws a handful of envelopes.
Lex rolls his eyes. He’s bored, but not that bored. “You can’t really think I’m interested in going through your fanmail?”
Clark looks genuinely puzzled. “What?”
“Oh, don’t make that face at me. You can reply to your sycophants on your own time.” Lex waves a dismissive hand. “Why don’t you bring me a chess board?”
“Lex,” says Clark very softly, “these letters are all for you.”

Lara’s son is born with a name written on his tiny finger, looped around the base like a ring.
At least, she thinks it’s a name. She can’t read it, and neither can Jor-El, but it’s in the place where soulmarks are traditionally found and there’s no reason to believe it isn’t one. She examines the mark as she rocks him (such a bright, striking green!) and imagines that perhaps the first, largest glyph is some manner of family crest, while the ones that follow are a given name.
Under ordinary circumstances, a soulmark written in an alien language would be a tragedy. Kryptonians do not leave their planet anymore, and aliens are not permitted on-world. If Lara’s son ever left to seek out his soulmate, it would be as a runaway, an exile.
But these are not ordinary circumstances.

The temperature in the room seemed to plummet at the child’s last name, and for brief seconds Lex felt as if he were trapped and suffocating.
