It has been a month since the Reindeer Games. Christmas Town was one elf and one reindeer short. For the first time in remembered history, inhabitants of Santa Claus' magic kingdom had decided they would rather take their chances with the outside world. Quietly, stubbornly, the elves returned to their work making toys, trying hard not to think about their former colleague who wanted to become a dentist. It's only been one month, yet they still have the rest of the year to get through, and the tension has already gotten unbearable.
Hermey and Rudolph, accompanied by an eccentric prospector, live a life on the run from the abominable snow monster, snatching moments of rest and respite between long marches. It's not an ideal situation, but even so, it's leagues better than having to suffer through not fitting in. The future is uncertain, but the present has warmth and belonging.
Dedicated to AO3 author 'pinwheelwhirl,' whose story "don't go 'round willy nilly" got me fixated on a dumb stop-motion TV special made sixty years ago and inspired me to channel that obsession into something productive.

This story takes place in a different France where thanks to the genius minds of Gyro Gearloose and Ludwig Von Drake, technology has surpassed the age they live in. However, the two mysteriously vanish in a fiery explosion. The gap between the rich and poor is staggering, and there are talks of a revolution aiming to change that.
Our hero is Mickey Mouse, a common paper boy who is transformed into the heroic Scarlet. Meanwhile Daisy Duck, Max, and others seek to weaken the rich and punish them for living on the high life. Then there's the case of the Four Dukes and One Duchess, powerful but distant relatives of the Queen of France. If you attain the power of all five, you could theoretically rule all of France! But that won't be easy-Duchess Minerva, best friend of Mickey (and the aim of his obvious crush), wants peace between the classes, and hopes for equality for all.
But there is a darker force waiting in the shadows. One Duke wants more than a gap between the classes - he wishes to annihilate the poor and weak all together. Can Mickey save France from destroying itself?

Summary
A run-in on an Imperial ship between Mandalorians and New Republic pilots ends in violence and a stalemate. Tensions are now heightened as several New Republic senators extend negotiations to the mysterious ruler of Mandalore, a reformed planet isolated from the galaxy.
Mand’alor Din Djarin and Duchess Bo-Katan Kryze begin defensive discussions with the Galactic Senate, opposed to becoming involved in any outside government after so recently reclaiming their home planet. As they aim to keep Din’s identity confidential, the Mandalorians hunt the rest of the Empire in the Outer Rim and attempt to avoid the New Republic’s domineering presence.
But Senator Leia Organa isn’t taking no for an answer with peace on the line.
