Cirrus slowly shifted his view over to the boy sitting at the desk. He adjusted the focus, zooming in slightly. With each next photo, his eyes picked up on tiny, captivating details.
Chestnut hair that had gotten progressively messier throughout the day, actually a combination of at least five different shades of brown, reflecting warmly in the light of the lamp. Click.
A sloping nose, just on the verge of being pointy, that always had slight indentations from those glasses. Click.
From the side, an eye that was a deep chocolate color, sometimes liable to subtly change in hue based on the time of day, long eyelashes surrounding it. Click.

A fic where Cirrus discovers a passion for taking pictures through the power of pining and realizes that he doesn't hate being photographed when it's a certain boy holding the camera. Oh, and he's well aware of the irony as he gradually adds to a certain folder on his computer.@unbelie59450654 suggested the prompt of Cirrus participating in Skylar's hobby, later realizing he likes taking pictures of the other boy.

'The Flame of the North' they call him, for his fire-gold hair; once he goes, Patroclus thinks, all things swift and beautiful and bright will be gone with him.
Perhaps in another life, if Patroclus fell to his knees and begged, Achilles would take pity on him and stay, or ask him to come with him. But this is not this life. In this life, Patroclus hasn't the power to change... anything.
Or: Achilles is the young Prince of Phthia, Patroclus is his squire, in a story where they come together, come apart, then find each other all over again.

Some days, it feels like Yoshiki just wants as much distance between himself and Hikaru as he can get. Other days, it’s like being away from Hikaru would kill him. Hikaru can’t tell what’s gonna set Yoshiki off or not, and it’s not like looking at the memories would help. He got moody like this before, but only when Hikaru tried to talk about girls or Yoshiki leaving one day, and never for as long as he does now.
Is he doing something wrong?
“Hey, Yoshiki?” he calls ahead. “What d’ya reckon we should do for my birthday?”
Or; ‘Hikaru’ celebrates his sixteenth birthday. Hikaru doesn’t.

She hadn’t thought it capable of anything but violence—because what else would those things exist for—but Ivan has managed to wrangle some sort of understanding from it, if what he says is to be trusted. Usually, it isn’t.
“It’s cute,” Ivan says, motioning for Sua to come closer. Sua thinks she’s already too close, given that she’s within its range of motion. Ivan’s borderline stupid with the way he presses his forehead to its maw, huffing softly as he runs his hand along the underside of its jaw.
He’s gone mad, Sua thinks. This stupid boy has gone mad and he’s going to be eaten and he’s about to make it my problem, and then I will be late to meet Mizi again.
