The Night Manager AU: Yassen is semi-retired and has semi-adopted Alex. They are guests of Richard Roper (billionaire with suspicious origin of wealth) while Yassen finalises his role in what he claims is an agricultural equipment company. But Alex wasn’t trained as a spy yesterday and knows that not all is as it seems. His suspicions are heightened by the appearance of a mysterious stranger on the island.
The stranger - a British spy, if Alex ever saw one - has infiltrated whatever it is that Yassen has gotten himself into. Now it is up to Alex to get them both out and away before they lose everything Alex is so desperate to keep.

Summary
Daeron gets the luxory of understanding one of his visions before it comes to pass for once, and tries to change something. The change comes at a cost.
"Daeron, Maekar remembered, had attempted to tackle Baelor to the ground in an uncharacteristic show of enthusiasm, but had done so at the most inopportune time, intercepting a blow meant for Baelor. Maekar had been sure, however, that his armour had protected him. Daeron had then proceeded to be almost trampled by a stampeding horse, distracting Maekar enough to give Baelor an opening and leave him off balance. Daeron had looked fine though, hadn’t looked hurt, though he hadn't gotten back up. In hindsight, this should have been the first sign to Maekar that something was wrong"
