“Father, if anyone tries to tell you you’re anything other than a ray of sunshine in olive drab, you send ‘em my way. I’ll have BJ beat them up for you.”
Hawkeye is joking on autopilot, but Mulcahy gives a quiet chuckle and a moment later covers Hawkeye’s hand with his own. The gentle touch brings Hawkeye back into his body from where he’d been bouncing around the ceiling, rudderless and anchorless and useless and he thinks suddenly about the healing power of touch, the laying-on of hands, and how in the absence of his sense of sight Mulcahy is giving him exactly what he never could have asked for. Joked about, teased and harangued, sure; he's been patiently turning the other cheek since the first time Hawkeye gave him a wink and a nudge. But here he is, for the first time in the history of their doomed flirtation, reaching for Hawkeye as though his touch costs him nothing. Talking, too, as though nothing has changed, when Hawkeye knows down to his bones that everything has changed; everything is changing.

Dean’s voice is coming closer, echoing down the halls and around the corners of this unbelievable place, and John’s first instinct is to tense up, triangulate the sound of his son’s call with the source of the danger. But Dean’s voice is not raised in fear, doesn’t carry the sharp bite of command. He’s just looking for his brother.
“Sammy – oh, hey, Dad.”
There’s something in the way he says it, Dad, that tugs at John’s ear. Like it’s a word, not a name, and a word he hasn’t said in a long time, too.

Hawkeye steps off the train at Grand Central Station and there he is, not even ten paces away and already looking right at him, like there was no other place for him to be.
“You’re a sight for sore eyes, Hawk,” Sidney murmurs, hugging him right back before he holds him out at arm’s length to look him over with a grin. “I never realized how good-looking you were under all that mud, blood and khaki.”

“You know for a guy who claims to have two left feet you really held your own out there, Father,” Hawkeye says, and then leans in to repeat it right into Mulcahy’s ear, one hand still settled on his waist and giving him a little squeeze as he adds, “You can’t tell me you didn’t take those feet out for a twirl or two before that savior of yours put a ring on your finger. Come on, you must have some good stories, huh? Huh?”
Mulcahy pulls back to look at him, cheeks glowing as he beams up into his face. “Oh, Hawkeye. Haven’t you learned by now that a priest must never kiss or tell?”

“What are you doing?” BJ asks, when he starts to feel the silence pressing on his eardrums.
“Just playing house,” Pierce says in that same sing-song voice he’d used the day before outside the officer’s club.

Summary
tl; dr Every work in this series stands alone, and there are a few I might expand or come back to at some future time.
The prompts for the Leverage holiday exchange were truly amazing and I got so excited to write treats for, like, a dozen of them, and then life hit me with thing after thing that kept me from being able to sit down and properly concentrate on anything until it was already December and I was sad :(
But many of the prompts were in line with things I've been thinking about for awhile and in some cases had already started writing, so I decided I'd write what I could and post what I had under this series umbrella, even things I had planned or hoped would be a lot longer or more developed. So if anything really tickles your fancy please leave me a note and I'll be sure to let you know when I come back to it!
