Summary
Bucky Barnes really needs someone to pretend to be his boyfriend for 5 minutes, just long enough to make his ex go away so he can enjoy the rest of his afternoon in peace. Super sweet Steve, with his perfect body and even better smile, is naturally willing to help the cute guy who hangs out in the park.
Fast forward several weeks and Bucky thinks they have the perfect fake dating arrangement. Bucky meets Steve's friends. Steve spends Bucky's birthday with his family.
There's only one problem. Steve apparently missed the fake part in their relationship and sets out to be the best boyfriend Bucky Barnes never had. Meanwhile, Bucky is working hard not to develop feelings for his friend.
To complicate everything, the world, and more importantly Bucky, don't know that the new Captain America, who never shows his full face, is actually Steve Rogers, the original Captain America who was secretly revived after 70 years on ice.

Natasha looks up at Bucky with an evil look on her face, and before Bucky has a chance to say hello or ask her what she’s doing here, she smiles like a shark and says, “I have a plan.”
Bucky lets her in.
“A plan for what?” he asks, gesturing toward his sofa to invite Natasha to sit.
“To get Steve to pull his head out of his ass,” Natasha answers, “and finally act on how he feels about you.”
Bucky stares at her, blinking. “How he what?” he squeaks. Very dignified.

Bucky opened his eyes and rolled his shoulders, trying to ease some of the tension out of his back. When Steve’s words sunk in, though, he turned and leaned forward, staring past Steve’s chest to look out the window. Beyond the wing of the plane, he found a beautiful coastline with white sand, blue waters, and palm trees, as well as rows of bungalows on the water.
“Wow,” he murmured. “We’re staying in one of those, right?”
In which Steve invites Bucky on a trip to Fiji and they discover something a lot more than beautiful vistas and friendly locals.
