However, for Prismo, he’s having thoughts. Thoughts that, if Scarab were aware of them, would earn him a talking to. “Someone of your standing wouldn’t be having these thoughts,” “Really, Prismo? That’s a new low, even for you.” As he relaxes in his tub, watching the objects in the water dip and bob in the stagnant waves, he gets the urge to poke the Scarab again. But it seems he notices, and this troubles Prismo. Does he know? No, no way! He wouldn’t know, as long as he doesn’t say anything.

But that’s not what bothered him, as Scarab poked and pinched at his silhouette. What bothered him mostly was the soft feeling the gentle, ordinary touch had given him. This single touch, the way it had lightly traced upside, leaving a trace of tingles in its wake along his back…and the fact that he could not recreate that feeling, upset him to no end.
