“I just don’t understand why he never wants to come with us, Christopher. It’s not as if he could be embarrassed to be seen with us.” Peter rolled his eyes, hand waving toward his face to prove his point. “We’re gorgeous.”
Chuckling, Chris shrugged his shoulders. “What did he say last time you asked?”
“He always makes up some excuse to leave. Watch,” Peter nodded, clearing his throat before he called out. “Stiles, sweetheart, can you come in here, please?”
“What’s up?” Stiles asked, leaning against the door frame.
“We were thinking of getting dinner, and maybe drinks tonight.” Peter watched him, eyebrow lifted in question.
“Oh, ok, cool. Let me get my stuff together, and I’ll head home. Did you wanna do dinner and a movie here tomorrow? There’s one I’ve been wanting to see that’s out now.” Stiles pushed off the door, his pinky and thumb alternating as he tapped his thigh.

Summary
Stiles was smart. He knew it, his dad knew it, his friends knew it, and his teachers regretfully knew it as well. While he was smart, he was also a dumbass who had poor impulse control, which was also well known.
So adding alcohol to the mix, away from his pack and family at school, meant he did things he probably shouldn’t have.
