Read up to chp 10. Translation of a Chinese MDZS fanfic following JC as he is cursed in childform post-canon. You are getting to see JC’s defenses crack as his daytime child brain drops his inner dreams and wants in public, now that he is free of the horrors of his past and societal constraints/expectations. His night adult brain cringes from these revels, but his spiritual energy is gone, so he is just a helpless child with little lethal force to chase people away.
LXC is caring for him during this time. Only he and LQ are privy to the curse, as they help JC research the cure. Seems to be tied to a bell that JGY was researching.
WY figured it out pretty quick and has been enjoying pampering his shidi to his heart’s content.
JL figured it out accidentally after watching JC breakdown after not finding his parents and followed the child into the old bedroom that JC shared with WY at Lotus Pier.
The author kept a very good hold on the canon characterizations and the translator is doing an amazing job conveying the essence.
Worth waiting forever for the chps to drop!
