    "I was blind to see the other possibilities."

    These words left the lead of the Wild Hunt, the vainglory hound of Wuthering Heights. It were all the words he could muster as his courage, his kindled flame- spirited by the ghosts of the accursed manor, flickered into nothing. It was the realization he had come to when he realized how his love had steered him to darkness- how his pain had sent him hurdling towards despair. It was the realization that had dawned upon his rotten soul when he realized... that he could have let the mirrors of the many other worlds he had laid waste to grow.

    Like the flowers called 'Heath' at the cliffside of his lone manor, their love would have remained violet. Yet, he willingly crushed those petals under his foot- because the rose that was his had died long ago, and so did his heart. Snuffed, like the hope he had when he heard of Catherine's death- the Erlking returns to his lonesome manor. The forest huddles around him, containing the hound's army like prison bars. Yet, in his lamentation of the endless things he beheld, he couldn't help but notice: "...Where are the flowers? Why do I see brilliant color? And... what are those people I see in the distance?"
