Summary
Eddie’s massage therapist is Briana.
He confirmed this six times: twice on the website, once during a phone call he made from his truck in the grocery store parking lot like it was a covert operation, three more times in the confirmation email.
"Eddie?"
He looks up.
That is not Briana.
The guy standing in the hallway entrance is tall and built like someone whose job description wildly undersold the physical reality. There's a birthmark above his eye that shouldn't work but does, way too much, and his scrubs fit him well. They — okay. They fit him obscenely well, actually.
His arms. God, his arms. They're just arms. Everyone has arms.
Eddie is suddenly, involuntarily, thinking about what it would feel like to have those arms braced on either side of him. Or around him. Or holding him down.
Which is not a thought he's ever had about a man's arms before. He's pretty sure. He's almost sure. He's going to move on from this.
He is going to stop looking at the arms.
Any second now.
Or,
It's just a massage. Eddie can survive that. Right?- Language:

Summary
“I heard you two were expanding your family! Another little one at Durand. We were so excited when we saw the enrollment paperwork.” She clasps her hands together. “Theo is an absolute joy. Let me show you what he’s been working on.”
Expanding your family.
Buck opens his mouth to redirect — it's a reflex, the correction sitting right there on his tongue. This isn’t the first time they’ve been mistaken for more than two totally platonic best friends who are both men and also raising children together.
It’s right there, polite and practiced: Oh, we’re not actually—
But suddenly Eddie’s hand is on his back. Not his shoulder this time, but lower. A few inches lower than two totally platonic best friends who are both men and also raising children together would justify.
Eddie’s palm presses flat against the base of Buck’s spine, fingers spread wide like he’s anchoring them both to the same spot.
“Thank you so much,” Eddie says. “We’re really proud of him.”
Or: The totally platonic act of raising not just one, but two kids with your straight best friend.

Summary
Buck is about to walk out of the airport. He can’t do this. He won’t. But then a hand—a big, warm hand—settles on his shoulder.
“Hey, uh—”
Buck turns, and standing there is the most beautiful man Buck’s seen in his entire life. A week’s worth of stubble across his jaw and cheek, a strong nose, and the deepest, prettiest brown eyes he’s ever seen, framed by mile-long lashes. Buck’s breath catches. Buck’s not into men, but holy shit, if he was—he’d be into this guy.
Well. He is kinda into this guy. Well. That’s—
“I’m here with my kid,” the guy continues, throwing a thumb over his shoulder and pointing toward where a blonde-haired, smiling kid with red glasses and crutches is standing. The kid lifts a hand and waves. Okay. Even if Buck is into the guy—kid usually means wife. Damn. “He’s got CP. We’ve done this song and dance a thousand times. You want a hand?”
“Sir,” the man cuts in, “this is a private discussion—”
Buck, who really was trying not to cry before, feels like he’s fighting a losing battle now. His eyes are a little wet, and his hands, gripping his crutches, are shaking just a little. “Fuck. Yeah. Please.”

“Tommy and I broke up.”
Maddie deflates at the pain in her little brother’s voice. Before she can soothe him, Buck keeps talking.
“Mom and dad hate me, pretty permanently this time-”
“I’m sure-”
“And Eddie’s dad made it clear that I’m not welcome in his son’s or his grandson’s life. So.” Buck gives the most painful smile Maddie’s ever seen. Tears suddenly stream down his face. “Everyone’s leaving me.”
Or: Buck shows up at Maddie's doorstep with a fever and quite a few recent emotional scars. This makes Maddie put on her Big-Sister pants and say a few truths and burn a few bridges. She also brings home exactly what Buck needs to feel better, though technically, it was Eddie's idea.

“He’s not,” Christopher interrupted after he swallowed, his eyebrows furrowed, “that’s not- no. Bucks not my uncle.”
His abuela waved a dismissive hand, “Oh, of course not, I know that. Isn’t that a thing you young ones do? Refer to your parents' close friends as aunts or uncles?”
And here’s the thing, yes. He refers to Hen and Karen as his aunties. He’s never blinked at that. He routinely tells people that he and Denny are basically cousins.
Sure, he even calls Maddie and Chim his aunt and uncle without a second thought, but that’s because - well, that’s because..
“He’s not my uncle,” Christopher repeated, “He’s my other dad.”

one where Brock Rumlow isn't an asshole because Frank Grillo is too hot not to think about it sometimes.
***
Brock Rumlow was happy to die in the basement of Avengers Tower having not told them shit about the scepter, his buddies, or the Winter Soldier. He was content knowing that the Winter Soldier had escaped Hydra and that the scrambling factions of the organization would never touch him again. And then James Barnes walks into the Avengers Tower screaming at them to let Brock go and he has to wonder if he really deserves this.
He probably does.
***
In which Brock Rumlow spends fifteen years repeatedly breaking the Winter Soldiers programming just to see the poor guy smile. Somehow they fall in love along the way.Bookmarked by Cerberuskillz

Summary
Tony Stark was a Submissive. That’s what the test results showed when he was tested at sixteen like everyone else. He wasn’t a very good one though. Arguably he was the worst one.
Tony Stark was a submissive who had never been able to submit.
James Barnes was a Dominant. That’s what the test results showed both before and after Hydra. It’s what Steve Rogers told him. He wasn’t a very good one though. He felt like the worst.
James Barnes was a Dominant who was no longer able to dominate.
There had always only been Dominants and Submissives, though. One or the other. Not both, not neither.
But then there was Tony Stark and James Barnes.

Summary
“Hey kid! Aren’t you getting a little old for temper tantrums?” Steve heard Bucky yell to the Scarlet Witch.
It's all so horribly ironic, Steve thinks.
Just a few hours ago Steve and Bucky had been arguing over the team's childish behavior towards Tony, then they were bickering like kids on the quinjet on the way to this battle, and now... Now the Avengers had a seven-year-old Bucky Barnes where the Winter Soldier should be.
...
This trope has been done so many times, but I've never seen one where it's just Bucky who get's temporarily de-aged, so here we go!
