Summary
Perhaps it wasn’t that Mai hardly ever smiled, but rather, she simply hid her smiles. It was a shame she did so, because they were beautiful. Like shooting stars: shining bright, then fading away. If Zuko blinked, he’d miss them, and even if he was lucky enough to witness one, it was never enough.
-
Zuko realizes there’s more to his sister’s friend than meets the eye.

“Please.”
Rhaenyra was jolted out of her open-eyed nightmare to the sight of her son collapsing to his knees before her. Shaking fingers spidered on her gown, twisting the fabric, while upturned wet eyes prayed for her comfort.
“I beg of you, don’t do this. Please, mother!”

When Zohran Mamdani walked into the Oval Office, he’d been prepared for just about anything. Zohran expected Trump to give him that squinty-eyed look and call him a communist and a jihadist and all of the other things both the Democrats and Republicans had thrown at him during his campaign trail.
He hadn’t been prepared for this.

Summary
Eighteen years after the Phoenix Gate incident, Rosaria is notorious for three things: the wars she's won, the Twin Flames who lead her, and her hatred for those who betrayed her.
And maybe something else, if Dion can ever figure out what that is.
“There are rumors,” Terence says after a moment, which is odd. He’s not one to traffic in such things.
Dion faces him fully, bemused and amused in equal measure. “What rumors?” He shifts closer, past propriety, and murmurs, “Don’t hold out on me.”
Terence reddens. “No—they aren’t fit for polite company.”
That only makes him more curious. He watches as the elder Rosfield steps closer to the younger to murmur something in his ear. The archduke is perhaps taller by an inch, but they seem of a height. Twin Flames—an inadequate descriptor, as nothing else about them is alike. They are as similar as sun and moon. “Not fit for polite company,” he muses. That is interesting.
