Summary

September 1995 - Mike spends his days working a soul-sucking job and his nights trying to forget. But then Mike's path crosses with Will’s again, and he is faced with the question of whether he will confront the feelings he’s been trying to bury or continue living a life in the shadows.
Mike slammed his empty glass on the counter. The woman flinched, and every eye in the bar seemed to turn on him. His heart was pounding but it was already too late. She was in his head now.
On Mike’s bad days, he was glad that El had died, because he knew that he would have made her life miserable.
On his worse days, Mike didn’t care about that and wished he could at least be in misery with El.
And on his worst days, Mike thought about Will. -
