It was obvious in their late nights on the Falcon, Luke’s eyes drawn with longing as he gazed out of the viewport, towards some star Han couldn’t see. The melancholy that was cloaked about him in the way that a laugh never fully reached it’s height or a smile never filled in. The urgency that ran through Luke to destroy the Empire at whatever cost. No one just did that because they wanted to return to a lonely life; Luke had someone. A person, or many, that would miss the farm boy if tragedy were to strike and he never made it home.
Four times someone gets a hint at Luke's life beyond the Rebellion with + One time they get to meet who Luke's fighting for.

The boy presses his head against the bunny costume’s soft fur, and Luke bends down to cover the little back and head with his paw gloves. After a couple of calming breaths, the boy giggles.
“What’s your name?” Din asks when Luke lets him go.
“I’m Grogu.” He smiles endearingly and hugs Din, too.“Grogu, that’s enough.” A sinister voice alerts them all. There are no more kids in the hall, only a stone-faced man in a pinstripe three piece suit - apparently Grogu’s father.

Cody immediately dropped the hand, moving his own to the cup General’s face, an action that had Obi-Wan blushing red.
“Listen, I’m okay, darling,” Cody started and Obi-Wan just stared at him, dumbfounded. “It’s just early. I promise I’m fine.”
Obi-Wan didn’t have the mental capacity to do anything but freeze as his Commander leaned forwards and kissed him softly.
OR: Ventress possesses Cody in order to spy on Obi-Wan, but misinterprets their relationship, which sort of gives her away.

Now don't get him wrong, Sidious usually accounted for a great many things.
Potentially causing the end of the galaxy with a highly dangerous bioweapon? Yes, precautions taken.
Grievous or Dooku possibly getting tossed into the vacuum of space before the end of the war? Not ideal, but he could adapt somehow.
Windu and Skywalker somehow becoming the closest friends...ever? force forbid that should play out or he may be doomed...
Skywalker taking interest in and later marrying Senator Amidala? Yes, perfectly in the plans.
Should work out just fine.

Jedi General Cody of the 212th Battalion is assigned to escort Master Qui-Gon Jinn to the planet Stewjon to broker their entry to the Republic. While Qui-Gon handles the political negotiations, Cody and his Troopers will be training the Stewjoni military in preparation of a GAR outpost.
What should be an easy mission is complicated by the presence of Prince Commander Obi-Wan Kenobi. Qui-Gon is convinced the prince may be a Separatist in disguise. Cody's not sure where the Obi-Wan's allegiances lie. All he knows is the more time his spends with Obi-Wan, the more Cody finds himself drawn to him.
