“Your bags?” Batman asked, his voice low and gravelly. Was he doing the voice on Finn? Why? Finn already knew he was a social mess of a man, he didn’t need the gravelly dark knight voice to attempt to say otherwise.
Finn slowly handed over his backpack and duffel bag and then went to put his shoes on and froze, turning back around and flatly staring at both vigilante’s wearing shoes. Inside his house. For fucking shame.
“You wore shoes inside my house.” Finn flatly said, disappointment coloring his voice.
“Your priorities are so weird.” Red Robin mused, taking a sip from his death coffee. “Go put on yours so we can kidnap you.”
Finn did and proceeded to get kidnapped.
Finn just wanted to enjoy casual homeownership in Gotham City, of course the universe conspired against him and he accidentally killed a world renowned clown. The logs are NOT true, Finn did NOT do that shit on purpose your honor. Unfortunately for both Finn and the logs, the bats are ON the case.

And now here Dick is, bringing another child to Wayne Manor as if that place is anything but a glamorized bear trap. If Tim knew the full story, he’d realize why he shouldn’t give a damn about saving Batman because Batman can’t be saved. He doesn’t deserve to be saved. Every instinct in Dick’s body screams at him to turn back and dump Tim on the side of the road. Mostly due to the fact that Tim just keeps yapping.
“There’s a McDonald’s on the highway,” Tim suggests. “I think the McRib is back. Have you tried the McRib?”
Dick pries his gaze off of the road ahead to shoot Tim a glare. “This isn’t a road trip. We’re not stopping for lunch.”

Tim calls it a bad idea approximately twelve minutes before Red Hood finds the first tracker and sends him a photo of it drowned in diner cola.
Assigned to keep Jason Todd from escalating a weapons-trafficking case into a body count, Tim expects resistance. He expects threats, broken surveillance equipment, encrypted insults, and Jason being exactly as infuriating as every report says he is.
He does not expect Jason to be careful with scared kids. He does not expect Jason to trust him with dead drops, safehouses, and secrets Bruce does not get to know. He definitely does not expect to end up in Jason’s lap at five in the morning, grinding against him while case files slide off the couch.
When a corrupt Gotham councilman puts a bounty on Red Hood and targets Tim as his handler, the case turns into a trap built around everything Jason is afraid to want and everything Tim is too tired to hide.
Jason Todd does not need a leash.
Tim Drake might need to stop pretending he only follows him for the case.
