Summary
Children’s hair sometimes changes color as you grow. When he’s young enough for it not to be unusual, but old enough to know he’ll get in trouble for doing something ‘freakish’ again, Harry's hair goes from his father's dark locks to his mother's bright, most-likely-magical red hair.
It changes everything about who he identifies with, who he wants to grow up to be, and who he thinks he is. Instead of having James Potter as his idol, Lily turns out to be a much better influence.
So instead of seeing a scruffy, most-likely-muggleborn boy standing beside him in Madam Malkin's before their first year, Draco only has eyes for the scarlet-haired, green-eyed creature who just walked into his life. Harry Potter Black Peverel Slytherin made friends with cousin Dudley, who dragged him to the Knight Bus to get medical aid. Andromeda saved his life and took both cousins in. Rita Skeeter was on the bus and did the research to write his story and get Sirius out of Azkaban. They live at Black Castle and heal. Also, Harry can speak to his dead parents and Horcrux Tom is his friend.
He goes Hogwarts and becomes a Slytherin who brings a broad group of friends together.
Snape and Quirrel try to kill him. McGonagall doesn't believe him. -
