Summary
The BAU has to start a new case but one of the profilers hasn't shown up. They later realize they match the victims profile completely. An unsub targets young males in their early twenties who have died or come close to it in the past but survived. He decides that they shouldn't get to live so he tortures them for a week before killing them in the same way they died before. Will the team be able to save their youngest member in time? Or will they be forced to sit and watch?

“No,” he choked, clutching him tighter, like he could hold the life in. Like he could force Spencer’s soul to stay with him through sheer will. “Don’t go. Don’t you fucking dare leave me. Please…”
He rocked them gently, the way someone would a child or a prayer—back and forth, back and forth—his hand pressed hard over the gaping wound that had stopped bleeding, which he knew meant something worse. His shirt was soaked. The floor beneath them was slick. The air reeked of iron and sweat and death.
“I love you,” Morgan whispered. It wasn’t brave. It wasn’t romantic. It was broken. A confession soaked in blood. “I love you, I love you, I love you—God, please let him hear me—please…”
He didn’t know who he was begging to. God had never done shit for him before. But now? Now he would’ve sold his soul just to hear Spencer mumble some half-sarcastic statistic. Just to hear that voice again.
But Spencer didn’t move.
Didn’t even flinch.

Summary
A sob breaks though and he shudders, hands clenching tightly as he roughly swipes the tears off of his cheeks. He needs to be the strong one, he can’t fall apart when Spencer needs him.
Penelope holds him, whispering soft words.
“He-” Derek shudders, “he told me he loved me. His last words, his last moment thinking he’s going to die and he used it to tell me he loves me.”
“Oh, my love,” she whispers, sounding heartbroken and understanding. “That boy has loved you for as long as I've known him. You love him back, huh?”
The words are soft, no pressure in them.
“I love him more than I've ever loved anyone,” he confesses brokenly. “He’s my- he’s everything.”

Or the one where Derek and Spencer are run off the road and Derek watches as the light leaves Spencer's eyes and he uses his last breath to confess his love, not wanting to leave without ensuring Derek knows how loved he is.
