He is passed out in a corner of the Angel’s Share, arm thrown over his eyes to block out the bright light of the sun shining down through the clouds. The storm barrier falling, crumbling, dissolving to reveal the light of Celestia burning through him.
He is curled up on the floor of a crawlspace within the church, thin tent flaps whipping around with the blizzard raging outside. The sounds of people screaming, crying, children laughing, children dying. There are hymns in the church below him, and they reverberate through the walls.
