Summary
“I just don’t understand where it’s coming from.”
“You know where it’s coming from,” Agatha muttered.
Rio scoffed. “Because I won’t let you fuck me? It’s not my fault I have a girlfriend.”
“Yes, it is!” Agatha shouted. “Why the fuck do you have a girlfriend?”
Rio couldn’t count on her fingers how many times they’d had this argument.
“Because I’m in love with-”
“No, you’re not,” Agatha cut in. “You know you’re not.”
OR: Agatha inviting her friends to stay on her estate the summer before they graduate from Oxford is a good idea...right? Who cares if her best friend Rio brought her girlfriend with her? Who cares if you both know she'd rather be with you...?

Summary
Agatha shot up, ramming into Rio so now she was pressed against the sparring mat. She freed her knife from Rio’s shoulder, was ready to drive it into her heart when-
“You’d follow me into the pits of hell?”
“I’d follow you anywhere.”
Agatha blinked. Those voices, that memory. Were they hers?
Maybe Rio shifted beneath her, maybe Rio tilted her head curiously. Rio definitely swiped the knife from her hand and drove it forward.
“Stop,” Irina ordered.
And on command, the knife fell from Rio’s hand, hitting the floor with a clang.
OR: maybe Agatha knew Rio once, maybe she even loved her. Didn't matter now. Memories wiped, every trace of their existence gone. Widows, that's all Agatha and Rio are...young women turned into killing machines.

Summary
“That was intensely amazing.” Rio winked at Agatha. “Expect the transfer within 5 minutes. I have to calm down first.”
“Yeah. I wish it was you who fucked me rather than this toy.”
“I’d like that.” Rio looked at Agatha intently. “Is there any way I could take you out on a date?”

“I’m engaged, Rio.”

Summary
Rio Vidal, a talented photographer, is stuck working for a struggling small-town newspaper, The Westview Chronicle. Readership is plummeting, staff morale is low, and they’re becoming borderline irrelevant. The only thing worth sticking around for is the receptionist, Agatha Harkness, an aspiring writer, who is stuck answering phones and filing paperwork. Rio has always been in love with her, but she is too scared to admit it. If only she could navigate their friendship in a way that would make Agatha fall for her too.
There was just one small problem: Agatha Harkness has a boyfriend.
