Summary
The cracking and groaning of the big tree behind them eased the silence like the voice of an old friend. An arcane wind blew Vex’s braid, and when she glanced down, several autumn leaves tumbled near her boots.
She waited for the familiar words, but nothing came.
Leona rotated in Vex’s grasp and pointed past her shoulder, eyes wide. “Aunt Kiki,” she breathed.
Vex turned to see the Voice of the Tempest, the leader of the Air Ashari, the half-elven woman with bright hair whose presence usually filled a space with power and command, barely make it through the glowing green gateway within the tree before she collapsed onto the Greyfield grass. Her dress and armaments were torn and riddled with gashes and stains, and her flesh was covered in dozens of deep, bloody wounds.
“Fuck,” Vex breathed, already moving. “Keyleth!”
...
A possible scenario after the Apogee Solstice. What if Keyleth found Vex after nearly being killed that fateful day and how would she break the news of Vax's fate to his beloved twin sister?

Summary
Laudna had always had an affinity for broken, discarded things. Sometimes she mended them, sometimes she found the beauty in their brokenness and turned it into something more, sometimes she just loved them as they were. The cracked crockery left behind by some previous inhabitant, she had mended. The broken windows, she had replaced with shards of colored glass carefully pieced together to fill the empty window frames. Imogen, she had loved.
--
Imogen and Laudna settle in for their first winter together at the foot of the Kaal Mountains, but the local townsfolk aren't exactly welcoming to neighboring witches. Driven from their burning cabin into the harsh mountain winter, they search for a new place to make a home.Bookmarked by CoZy_Reader319

Summary
“Laudna, you died?”
She knew this, surely? Imogen had been very clear, from the very first time that they met, that every thought in Laudna’s head would work its way into Imogen’s, that she couldn’t control it, that she saw everything even when she didn’t want to. She must have seen this. They’ve been working together to build up Imogen’s mental walls so she can try and block out the thoughts, have been practicing every night. And it’s working! Imogen is very capable.
And she’s said it before, she thinks. She must have. And Imogen has been with her every day for the past two months. What did she think she was looking at?
-
After fleeing the mob (again), Imogen and Laudna hide out in an abandoned house, and talk. It’s all rather a lot for Laudna.

Summary
The vast majority of human predators are terrestrial, meaning humanity never evolved the instinct to look up when searching for threats.
Gwi-Ma knows this and as such gave a gift to his most clever followers.
Powerful enough demons can grow wings; massive, leathery constructs which allow them to drop out of the sky and carry away their prey.
Rumi's back split open when she was 14.
