Summary
“Do you know what Toujours Pur means, Drusilla?” Walburga asked. Walburga Black, Cygnus— Walburga’s brother, her son Sirius, and niece Drusilla were standing in the Black Family Tapestry room where the heritage of the Blacks was displayed. The Tapestry was as proud and dignified as the people portrayed on it. Each member’s caricature showed only the barest hint of their person— when they were born, who they married, when they died, and on rare occurrences, those who were so disgraceful that they were blasted off, leaving only cigar-styled burns in their place.
