Summary
Filled with newfound determination, Jasper readied to start his letter, but nothing came. The usual plentiful well that was his love had dried. He tried extremely hard, trying to write anything, even if it was just a single word, but nothing would come out.
Jasper found himself thinking back to Charlie and his poem. ‘Roses are red, violets are blue, you make me want to say yahoo’ was truly one of the funniest things he’d heard in a while, even though he would never admit that to Charlie.

Summary
It’s a day like any other when Bucky Barnes gets betrothed.
The weather is nice and sunny and Bucky’s excited to spend what little money he’s saved up on a comic that he’s been eyeing for what feels like forever. While on his way to the comic store, however, the boy hears a commotion down an alley away. Backtracking a bit, Bucky quickly spots a trio of boys around his age, all surrounding something. Curiosity immediately overcomes him and he hurries to go and see what all the fuss is about.
What he finds makes his stomach instantly twist into knots. Caught in the middle of the other boys is the smallest kid Bucky has ever seen.--
Seven year old Bucky Barnes meets six year old Steve Rogers, not knowing that the other boy isn't exactly human.

Steve chuckles weakly back, his smile still there, but fading by the second.
Bucky's fades as well, as his brain supplies to him—
It's time.
They share a look, and that in and of itself lets them know what they're both thinking.
Steve's hold gets weaker, and Bucky's eyes get wetter, but their gaze doesn't break, not once.
As Bucky starts holding him tighter, and brings Steve's hand to his mouth and kissing his knuckles, all while keeping his eyes on Steve's, Steve rubs his nose against Bucky's slightly, and Bucky knows.
This is their last minute together. Steve is ready. It's really happening.
