Is it casual now?
As in;
Y/n has worked at Daily Planet for years, been friends with Clark for years, even went on one date, but he never really got back to her about anything after, leaving her standing in the rain outside of her apartment. Now the whole office is in speculation.
As in;
Jimmy finds out about the date, tells Lois, Lois tells Cat…and so on. Now, everyone thinks Y/n is a notch in Clark Kent’s metaphorical belt that he doesn't even have- An office floozy. Clark gets the praise, Y/n gets the shame. He gets fistbumps and Jimmy asks, ‘Which base ya get to?’. She gets scowls and hushed whispers of “being easy.” Nothing even happened. In fact, he'd barely even said goodbye.
And it seems like every time Y/n tries to talk to Clark about it, he always has somewhere more important to be. Texts get left unread, calls left unanswered. Every time Y/n walks up to his desk, something else is suddenly more interesting. It was like he was actively pretending she didn’t exist. Every other conversation topic was on the table though. It's just like he could sense when she was upset about the aftermath of the date.
