Summary
Hermione Granger has successfully become the youngest, and first female, minister for magic at twenty eight, and her life is mostly perfect. She's managed to leave her Hogwarts days, and all those bad memories, behind her and has been living peacefully in her London flat with Crookshanks. Her two best friends, Harry and Ron, have gone down similar paths but have started families instead of solely focusing on their work, and Hermione didn't care that she hadn't, not even when the highly traditional press was hounding her about it.
Draco Malfoy on the other hand has tried, and failed, to escape pureblood society and is still stuck in the rut of pretending to be a beta. His only saving grace is his job as the Professor of History of Magic at Hogwarts that Headmistress McGonagall somehow trusted him with, and his best friend Pansy.
So when a Ministry business trip to Hogwarts reconnects Hermione with her former bully, who seems to have changed since their school days, she can't help but be intrigued by the man. Could she solve her press problem while falling head over heels for the man that she had vowed to hate a decade ago?

Summary
Fifth year in Hogwarts begins and Draco still hasn't presented as an alpha despite the long family history that should suggest that such a thing is inevitable. Worse still, the golden trio have all turned out to be alphas. Especially Harry. In fact Harry's turned out to be an alpha's alpha. Draco really shouldn't find that so attractive. But he does. And it's making him wonder if really even wants to be an alpha in the first place.
Meanwhile Harry, Ron and Hermione are struggling with their new instincts. Their group has always been prone to arguments and all the hormones and alpha posturing is not helping matters. Things would be so much easier if they had a nice, soft, little omega to dote on, who's scent could settle them down and who's body could distract them from their seemingly constant arguments. But its not like they can just make someone into an omega right?
Well not with magic anyway. But muggles have long known a secret that the wizarding world has willingly ignored. In the right circumstances you can make a beta into either an alpha or an omega. Even a beta like say, Draco Malfoy.
